From a triptych of wall hangings entitled Cost/Benefit, executed using multiple natural dyes—mainly ebony berry—with a chemical overlay to achieve the fushia. Screen printed images of mobile phones, chemical suits (or divers) and nervous systems...residue from a tech-filled decade spent in Japan. Borders of recycled Thai ethnic hill tribe handwork. Hearts embellished with embroidery. Approx 5x6 feet. Longmar Doo Gallery, Chiang Mai, Thailand 2004. |
