Wall hangings |
Wall hangings range in size from 2x5 feet up to
5x7 and are all original pieces. Hand screen printed and wax resist dyed up to 15 layers on antique Japanese jacquard silks. The prints utilize the artists own drawings mixed with classic historic engravings and woodcuts, scientific drawings and photo montage. Often they are strip pieced with other silks and ethnic fabrics. They utilize machine and hand embroidery along with unique edging and details. Dense and substantial in construction. As with any artwork, hangings should not be displayed in direct sunlight. |
